I’m considering the preparations for any painting session I undergo.
I am considering moving my painting session/s elsewhere, outside of my familiar settings.
Perhaps I could randomise where I paint, and get written instructions / notes from other artists on where else I could paint and what other preparations I could make prior to feeling/ being ‘ready’.
It would be a fun experience, at least, to paint in different places and/ or create different atmospheres to paint in.
To truly randomise the circumstances under which I paint I may decide to ask all other peers in my class to answer a set few questions on their own painting experiences & preparations. From this I will then place them all into a literal hat/ bag, and ask my tutor to draw five (this is the number of works I am yet to ‘resume’, minus one*) of the folded preparation lists from the hat for me to set up and paint using.
Instead of a survey, I may take the details of each person’s set-up in a documented interview. I will consider how exactly I choose to document each short interview as I begin to draft the questions I will be asking people.
