After having discussed my different ideas with my housemate (who would be the subject of one particular idea I have), I’m now leaning toward ‘reshoot’ and working on a filmed version of my poem Love Song for London.

Although I am very keen to create something based around the house I live in and the long history of occupants who have lived with my housemate in the thirty-one years she has been here for, I feel the idea is still in early stages, and that I am less looking into the brief and more thinking of ways to shoehorn in things that already excite or interest me. I also think a project relating to my house would take a large amount of space and time that I perhaps do not have with this assignment.

I am glad to be considering a reshooting of my poem as it is a project I have been previously very invested in and considering how to approach for some time. My next efforts will be geared toward ensuring my vision is clear and to look into other poets creating visuals to accompany their written or spoken words. I am keen to take influence from others, and yet have many personal instincts to follow. I may decide to change my approach; perhaps the whole shot list for my original idea entirely as I begin to look into other artists/ poets who present work in this way.
